Working for ABC Moving & Storage will give you the opportunity to be a leader for our moving crews, interact with new customers daily, and grow within our company. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record and be able to comply with all mandated DOT rules and regulations. Responsibilities

• Work with crew and other team members in loading shipments from residence to vehicles and visa-versa
• Inspect shipments prior to loading for proper packing or wrapping
• Perform accurate inventory of shipment
• Assist as need in loading trucks and/or containers for forward movement via interstate commerce
• Inspect and ensure all safety precautions are taken when working on a truck and with moving equipment, straps, blankets, walk-boards, etc.
• Assist in documentation and paperwork for shipments
• Willing to travel (local, intrastate and/or interstate)
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Working Conditions: Indoors and outdoors * Lifting of objects of 50 pounds and more * Frequent squatting and bending * Frequent use of stairs * Driving for long periods of time

Education Requirements

• Required: High school diploma or GED
• Train to achieve knowledge, skills, and ability to perform moving industry standards
• Good communications skills
• Reliable and trustworthy

Qualifications

• Preferred: Good driving record (will be verified)
• Required: Ability to meet background standards & pass a drug test.
